🚀October 2025 Product Update: New Features

LaunchSMS Widget Update — New Features & Improvements

We’ve rolled out several exciting updates to the LaunchSMS Communication Widget and Company Profile editor!
Here’s what’s new 👇


🕒 Business Hours Integration

You can now define detailed Business Hours directly within your Company Profile — including:

  • Open/close times per day

  • Support for “Open 24 hours”

  • Automatic Monday–Sunday ordering
    These hours now appear dynamically in the widget sidecart and are hidden entirely if no hours are set.


A new Schedule Link field has been added to your company profile.


This, along with your company website, phone, and SMS number, now populates the bottom drawer inside the widget.
Users can quickly access “Call Us,” “Text Us,” “Schedule with Us,” and “Home” links in one place — all color-coordinated to match your widget’s theme.


💬 Dynamic Buttons With Icons

Dynamic call-to-action buttons now support built-in SVG icons.
Admins can select from pre-built icons such as 📞 Phone, 💬 Chat, 📅 Calendar, ✉️ Envelope, ⭐ Star, ⚡ Bolt, and 👍 Thumbs Up for a more visual, engaging layout.
Each dynamic button can also be configured to open links in a new tab for added flexibility.


🪄 Widget Enhancements

  • Primary “I want to chat” CTA restored as a full-width button with a built-in chat-bubble icon.

  • Dynamic buttons are now equal height, evenly spaced, and automatically inherit your widget color scheme.

  • Theme color variables are now applied across the widget, keeping buttons, drawers, and scrollbars visually consistent.

  • Improved, smoother transitions when the widget opens, closes, or expands into the sidecart.


🧭 New Sidecart Experience

The Business Info Sidecart is new feature to deliver company specific information to users offering a more interactive experience:

  • Opens from the right of the chat panel via the new “Info” icon next to the close button.

  • Displays your company logo, address, phone, website, price range, and business hours in an elegant card layout.

  • Includes a scrollable section with thinner, themed scrollbars that match your widget color.

  • Adds a dimmed overlay across the entire page while open — giving users a focused, app-like view.

  • Closes smoothly with the same soft fade animations used across the rest of the widget.

This makes your widget feel more like a branded micro-website — letting customers view your key info without leaving the chat.


📱 “Text Us” Button Upgrade

The “Text Us” floating bubble now:

  • Transforms into a circular ‘X’ button when the widget is open

  • Closes the widget on click and reverts seamlessly back to its original “Text Us” design

  • Stays perfectly aligned below the chat panel for a clean, consistent appearance


🆕 Open-in-New-Tab Option

Each Dynamic Button now includes a simple “Open in new tab” checkbox in the admin interface — perfect for external booking pages or contact forms.


These updates make the LaunchSMS widget more interactive, branded, and conversion-focused, offering your customers a smoother experience from chat to call to schedule.

LaunchSMS Messenger Update — New Send and Resolve Feature

🆕 Desktop View

We've added a new feature to the Messenger page that now let's Agents Send a Message and automatically Resolve and Archive a customer's message. This will give the Agents a better user experience by keeping the Messenger screen clear of old messages left in the Read tab.

1. The original Send button. This will send messages immediately and keep the conversation going by leaving the communication in the Read tab.

2. * New * the Send and Resolve button. This will send messages immediately but upon sending the message the system will automatically give this communication a Lead Status of Resolved and move the conversation to the Archive tab.

🆕 Mobile View

We've also updated the LaunchSMS Mobile App to include the new Save and Resolve feature. Since the mobile experience is different than desktop we added a new Show Send Options toggle in the settings view to give Agents the choice of whether or not they want the additional step of choosing to Send a message or Save and Resolve a message.

Nexus AI - Just got a little smarter!

Our latest update enables Nexus AI to remember and reference previous conversations, delivering more accurate, personalized responses. Using our new contextual conversation model, Nexus AI automatically recalls relevant past interactions to provide customers with better answers tailored to their specific needs.


Nexus AI Driven Lead Status Changes

Nexus AI will now change a Lead Status in a conversation depending on the flow of the conversation.

  • If a conversation was initiated by a customer and responded to by an Agent the Lead Status for the conversation will automatically be updated to Outreach.
  • If a customer is scheduling a service using either Web Chat or BookSmart Forms the Lead Status for the conversation will automatically be updated to Scheduling.
  • If a customer is providing a payment the Lead Status for the conversation will automatically be updated to Payment Collection.

Lead Status Changes

With all of these new changes we had to make some updates to which Lead Statuses can be modified. The following Lead Statuses will now be locked and cannot be modified.

  • New Lead
  • Outreach
  • Scheduling
  • Payment Collection
  • Lead Won
  • Lead Lost
  • Resolved
