Common Issues

Custom Fields Not Appearing in Forms

Problem: Created a custom field but don’t see it when editing contacts Solution:

  • Refresh your browser page
  • Check that the field is “Active” in Custom Fields management
  • Verify you’re looking in the “Additional Information” section

CSV Upload Errors with Custom Fields

Problem: Custom field data not importing properly Solutions:

  • Ensure CSV column headers exactly match custom field names
  • Check data formatting (dates, numbers, dropdown values)
  • Download the sample CSV to verify correct format
  • Remove any special characters from field values

Cannot Delete Custom Field

Problem: Delete button disabled or getting error when trying to delete Explanation: Fields containing customer data cannot be deleted Solution: Deactivate the field instead to hide it while preserving data

Problem: Added dropdown options but they disappear Solutions:

  • Ensure you clicked “Save” after adding options
  • Check for duplicate option names
  • Remove any special characters from option labels
