Custom Fields Not Appearing in Forms
Problem: Created a custom field but don’t see it when editing contacts Solution:
- Refresh your browser page
- Check that the field is “Active” in Custom Fields management
- Verify you’re looking in the “Additional Information” section
CSV Upload Errors with Custom Fields
Problem: Custom field data not importing properly Solutions:
- Ensure CSV column headers exactly match custom field names
- Check data formatting (dates, numbers, dropdown values)
- Download the sample CSV to verify correct format
- Remove any special characters from field values
Cannot Delete Custom Field
Problem: Delete button disabled or getting error when trying to delete Explanation: Fields containing customer data cannot be deleted Solution: Deactivate the field instead to hide it while preserving data
Dropdown Options Not Saving
Problem: Added dropdown options but they disappear Solutions:
- Ensure you clicked “Save” after adding options
- Check for duplicate option names
- Remove any special characters from option labels
