Adding Custom Field Data to New Contacts
- Click “Add Contact” from the People page
- Fill in standard fields (name, phone, email, etc.)
- Scroll to “Additional Information” section
- Complete relevant custom fields
- Click “Save”
Editing Custom Fields for Existing Contacts
- Click the edit button (pencil icon) next to any contact
- Scroll to the “Additional Information” section
- Update custom field values as needed
- Click “Save”
Adding New Dropdown Options On-the-Fly
While editing a contact:
- Select any dropdown field
- Choose “+ Add New Option” from the dropdown
- Enter the new option name
- The option is immediately saved and available for all contacts
Tips for Data Entry
- Date fields: Use the date picker or format as YYYY-MM-DD
- Number fields: Enter whole numbers or decimals
- Multi-select: Hold Ctrl/Cmd to select multiple options
- URLs: Include http:// or https:// for proper linking
