Setting up the Webchat Widget

LaunchSMS provides you with a chat widget that you can customize and embed directly on your website. The LaunchSMS Chat widget allows your customers to send you a message directly from your website. This will give you an overview of how the LaunchSMS Chat Widget is set up.

LaunchSMS Chat Widget Communication Dashboard

1. LaunchSMS Chat widget script

This is the area where you can highlight and copy this script and embed it on your website.

2. LaunchSMS Chat Bubble editor

You can add text, and images to this area to customize the branding and message to your customers.

3. LaunchSMS Chat Color

Change the color of the LaunchSMS Chat widget in this section.

4. LaunchSMS Icon Image

 You can also upload a custom chat widget icon to replace the standard cloud image.

5. Widget Preview

You can see how your widget will appear once text/images and colors are edited

6. Email Widget Code

If you work with a developer or another company to manage your website you can send them the LaunchSMS Chat code using this feature.

7. Google Analytics

Use this area to enter your Google Analytics gtag.js tracking code. Once saved you will be able to save specific events tied to the chat bubble being opened and a conversation started.

There is a known bug in LaunchSMS that requires you to minify your Google gtag.js code when entering it in LaunchSMS. Example:

window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}gtag(‘js’, new Date());gtag(‘config’, ‘{{UA-Code-Goes-Here}}’);
